Description:
Longquan type stoneware flower-pot-stand with three small feet. The flower-pot-stand has a fine grey body and olive green irregularly crackled glaze. There is an inscription in a band below the rim. The base and the centre of the interior are unglazed.

It is incised with an inscription which is a prayer for everything most people desire (even today). He hopes for contentment, a healthy long-life, respect and wealth. The inscription reads: 福如东海，寿比南山。万万年荣华富贵常如在, 金玉满堂 子孙 具 (Fu ru donghai, shou bi nanshan, wanwan nian ronghua fugui, changruzai jinyu man tang zisun ju ‘Happiness as great as the Eastern Sea, Life as long as the Southern mountains, Thousands of years, honour and happiness always there; a hall full of gold and jade.
