Yuan Longquan wares, exemplified by this large wine decanter, are typically decorated with applied moulded designs such as dragons, fish or flowers beneath a bean-green glaze. Merchants exported Longquan ceramics widely. Customers in Southeast and East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and occasionally Europe admired their hard bodies and glossy celadon glazes.
