On the painting, Ning Zong wrote a poem, “The wild flowers touch the sleeves and dance by themselves, avoiding people and birds.” The calligraphy is elegant. At the bottom left, Ma Yuan was the court painter of Guangzong (1190-1194) and Ningzong (1195-1224).
