Description:
Fragmentary figure of a griffin, here depicted as an animal with the head of a bird of prey, a horn and a horse’s neck. Details such as the mane or the plumage of the wings were rendered using incised dashes and lines. The head of the animal once formed an extension of the handle of a vessel.
