Comments:However there is an interesting comparison to be made with a much earlier glass bowl found in a tomb of the Northern Wei period at Hebei Ding Xian. As glass was a foreign luxury copies in jade might have been intended as a local Chinese alternative. It is possible that this bowl belongs to this earlier tradition.
