Description:
Round plaque with a decoration in the shape of a face. The person is shown in full frontal view, with a wrinkled forehead, a broad nose, large eyes and a beard. The bared teeth give the whole face a very aggressive expression. The plaque was moulded in grey clay, the decoration was probably stamped. Shape and make of the object suggest that it was used as an eaves tile.
