Description:
Clay plaque in the shape of a gandharva. Gandharvas are male nature spirits said to have superb musical skills. The one depicted here holds a garland and wears large round earrings. The upper body is seems to be decorated with bands, the hair in a topknot. The figure is very worn and the facial features are no longer discernible. Small traces of small pigments suggest that it was once painted.
