Description:
Stucco plaque showing the Buddha standing on a lotus throne. His right hand is raised to the shoulder, palm facing outwards, in the so called abhaya mudra (the gesture of no-fear). The left hand holds the robe. His head with the clearly visible protuberance (ushnisha) on top is sourrounded by a nimbus. The pigments used to decorate the figure have mostly flaked off, only some faded black pigments can still be seen on top of the head.
