- Description:
This painting has no author’s money. It is said that it was painted by Liu Songnian (about the late 12th century). There are regular script praises on it, indicating the identity, official position and native place of the bachelor. The scene is a courtyard banquet activity elaborately arranged with lake stones, screens and furniture. The characters either watch the pictures, or hold a pen to meditate, or twist tea, as well as let the servants pull out their beards and those who need help when they are drunk. The rich body movements of the scribes and the servants who are busy serving during the journey add to the lively and happy atmosphere of the painting, which is set off by various kinds of objects in the painting.
