Period:Unknown Production date:701-750 (circa)
Materials:fired clay
Technique:painted
Dimensions:Length: 6.30 centimetres
Description:
Left arm of a clay figure. The arm is made of red fired clay and was then painted in light pink and yellow. Small notches imitate the plaits of the garment around the elbow and make clear that the arm was broken off in the middle of the upper arm. The hand is very simple and clinched to a fist. The fact that there is no paint on the inside of the object suggests that it was fastened to or touched another object.
