Description:
Fragment of a plaque depicting the standing Buddha. The protuberance (ushnisha) and the elongated earlobes feature very prominently, the right hand is raised to shoulder height with fingers extended and palm turned outward. This is the the Abhaya mudrā (mudrā of no-fear). The plaque is made of stucco, traces of gilding as well as black and red pigments remain.
