Porcelain, biscuit-fired, statue of Chairman Mao Zedong, with one hand raised in greeting and the other clenched at his side. Mao is standing on a square plinth and is wearing a cap and Mao suit with a band around his arm with the character for ‘soldier’. The star on his hat and the character on his arm are both glazed red.
