Description:
Fragment of a stucco plaque showing a flying gandharva. Gandharvas are male nature spirits said to have superb musical skills. Only part of the figure remains, the head and part of the right arm are missing. The being is depicted wearing a cape and a broad girdle with a buckle in the shape of a round flower. From the girdle hangs a string of beads which the gandharva holds in his left hand.
