This work is nameless. It depicts the scenery along the river with fine brush. It has a long space and rich images, which was very popular with the Emperor Qianlong. According to the postscript in the 22nd year of Qianlong’s reign (1757), the Emperor Qianlong “observed his style and brushwork”, so it was called the work of Zhao Boju (1120-1183). The Emperor Qianlong had confidence in his painting collection and appreciation ability. He decided on the author’s move for his paintings without money, and thought that he was on a par with famous connoisseurs in history, such as Ke Jiusi (1290-1343) and Dong Qichang (1555-1636).
