Shen Zifan was a famous Kesi master in the Southern Song Dynasty. His life is unknown, and most of his works were based on calligraphy and painting. The lower left part of this painting is carved with “Zifan” style and “Shen Shi” seal, just like a painting trace. This landscape is composed of two banks of a river. There are scholars looking out of the window in a pavilion on the waterfront cliff in the foreground. This composition is closer to the landscape style after the Yuan Dynasty, and the actual time can still be discussed.
