Cai Xiang (102-1067 AD), a native of Xianyou, Fujian, was named Junmo. In the eighth year of Tiansheng’s reign (1030), he was a scholar and had a smooth career. He was tired of the official admonishment and the history hall. Loyal, good at poetry and calligraphy. Cai Xiang was a beginner of Zhou Yue calligraphy. Later, he went to Yan Zhenqing, Yu Shinan, and Wang Xianzhi. His lines and regular script were simple, elegant and beautiful.
