Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:A combination of white designs on a deep blue ground was first experimented with successfully in the Yuan dynasty. Then biscuit reserved dragons were contrasted with monochrome glazes. Slip contrasting with monochrome grounds, however, was used in the Wanli period. It is a style that was also popular in the early seventeenth century in Iran at Isfahan.
