Description:
Porcelain bottle with underglaze blue decoration. This bottle is pear-shaped with a recessed base and a long thin neck. It is painted in vivid blue cobalt with three comical lion-dogs chasing beribboned balls, bordered at the top with white lappets on a blue ground and at the base by three flower scrolls. A good luck wish is recorded on the base in four characters surrounded by a double ring. It reads ‘Wan fu you tong’ [May ten thousand blessings gather together].
