Description:
Fragments of a painted banner showing the feet of standing figures and a coffin burning in flames (OA 1919,0101,0.228.1); the head of a bodhisattva in Indian style (OA 1919,0101,0.228.2); and a lotus spray and butterfly (OA 1919,0101,0.228.3). Painted in ink and colours on silk. OA 1919,0101,0.228.1 has now been re-mounted as OA 1919,0101,0.372. This fragment was originally lined on paper with Chinese characters written in ink, which is mounted as OA 1919,0101,0.411. OA 1919,0101,0.228.2 has now been re-mounted as OA 1919,0101,0.321, and OA 1919,0101,0.228.3 has now been re-mounted as OA 1919,0101,0.332.
