Zhao Yan (the first half of the 10th century AD), the son-in-law of Emperor Taizu of the Liang Dynasty, is good at drawing saddle horses. In this painting, eight noble men ride horses to travel. The grass and trees in the garden are green and the horses walk lightly, showing the pleasant atmosphere of spring outing.
