Bright Yellow Pingjin Seawater Jinlong Activity

[Bright Yellow Pingjin Seawater Golden Dragon Work]

Bright Yellow Pingjin Seawater Golden Dragon Work is a woven and embroidered ornament used by the Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. A complete set of seven pieces, including a pair of wallet, wallet, watch cover, finger cover, glasses cover, and watch cover. Bright yellow pigment satin surface, plain gold and silver embroidery on sea water and river cliffs, colorful auspicious clouds, and lock stitch embroidery on golden dragons. Twisted gold and silver threads are extremely thin and soft, embroidered with sea water and auspicious clouds. The stitches are dense and flush, with flowing light and color. The whole body of the dragon adopts the high embroidery technique. First, the part of the dragon body is padded with cotton, which is higher than the fabric, presenting a three-dimensional feeling. The gold thread embroidery of the dragon body uses a lock stitch method, with uniform and dense stitches. Each lock loop is like a piece of dragon scales, vivid and lifelike, shining brightly. The dragon line presents a strong sense of relief. The use of high embroidery techniques is very difficult, and is rarely seen in work in the Qing Dynasty. Decorate a bright yellow ribbon with gold threads and flower knots to stabilize the ribbon
The bright yellow fabric and ribbon used in the work, the large amount of gold used, and the exquisite embroidery process indicate that this set of work was designed by the Ruyi Museum and supervised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
