This is the daily casual clothes of the Empress Dowager of the Qing Dynasty. Round neck, double breasted, sleeveless, with left, right, and rear train openings. In lake colored spun silk, the neckline is decorated with a copper gilded carved flower clasp, and the lapel is decorated with a sheepskin white jade hollow carving with four Ruyi clasps. The fabric is tea green plain satin, embroidered with peony flowers using techniques such as needle setting and needle snatching. The stitch method is simple and concise, the stitches are flat and fine, the water path is clear, the pattern is elegant and harmonious in color setting, the composition is natural, soft and beautiful, and the lines are stretchy and smooth. The edge decoration is a lake colored pomegranate tapestry with tangled branches, embroidered with peony and longevity characters in Yuan Dynasty green satin, and a moon white ten thousand character curved water woven gold satin edge. Decorate the left, right, and rear train openings and the lower front panel with Ruyi cloud heads. The complex edge decorations make the fabric only a square inch, highlighting the decorative role of the edge decorations, representing the trend of the late Qing Dynasty in which extravagant decorations were considered beautiful.
