This garment is made of silk. Round neck, large lapel with right lapel, flat and wide sleeves with multiple layers, left and right train opening to the cloud pattern under the armpit. The collar and sleeves are lined with multiple taped edges, and the garment is lined with lake colored spun silk. The fabric is lotus colored satin, with a decorative method of two to three color halos on it. Various embroidery techniques such as flat needle, wrapped needle, flat gold, and covered needle are used to embroider the patterns of folded branches, peonies, and ten thousand character group longevity. The collar is decorated with a copper gilded gold chiseled flower clasp, and four white jade chiseled group longevity clasps. The composition of this garment is vivid and realistic, with fine embroidery, distinct layers, and clear “waterways”. It is a representative embroidery work of the late Qing Dynasty.
