The collar, sleeve, and hem are trimmed with three layers of lace. The collar and lapel are decorated with four bronze gilded flower buttons. This “0611” garment is embroidered with colored butterflies and gold patterns with the character “Happiness” on a large red field yarn ground using embroidery techniques such as flat needles, wrapped needles, staples, and plain gold. Butterflies fly up and down in pairs, opposite each other in ancient Chinese traditional patterns, known as “Happy Encounter”. With the “Double Happiness” character decorated between them, it has a more joyful meaning. Through this dress, one can imitate the touching scene of the wedding of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty over a hundred years ago.
