Red Glazed Kai Guang Jin Xi Zi Bowl, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 9 centimeters, a caliber of 17 centimeters, and a foot diameter of 8.2 centimeters
The bowl is straight and slightly open, with a curved belly and rounded feet. The mouth is painted with gold color, and there are gold loops around the inside and outside of the mouth. The inner wall of the bowl is decorated with the characters “Happiness” on the red ground, and the inner center is decorated with the characters “Longevity”. The outer wall is decorated with the characters “Longevity” on the red ground, and the inner walls are decorated with the characters “Happiness” on the dragon and phoenix. The opening lights are separated by flower and butterfly patterns. On the white glaze ground on the outer bottom, there is a regular script with four characters in red color: “Changchun Tongqing”
The entire vessel is mainly red and decorated with blue, white, green and other colors, creating a festive and lively scene. This is the vessel used by Emperor Tongzhi during his wedding.
