Wooden Tower Time Clock was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, with a total height of 100 centimeters, a face width of 51 centimeters, and a thickness of 41 centimeters
The shape of the clock is in the traditional Chinese pavilion style, with a full-bodied red sandalwood wood carving of a lotus flower in the western region, and a sumizzo. The front of the clock is made of yellow enamel. The layout and decoration style are typical of the clock made by the Emperor Qianlong. There are four characters in the middle and upper part, which are made by the Emperor Qianlong. There are five starting string holes below. Their functions from left to right are: leaving the clock, reporting the time, reporting the engraving, playing the clock, and sending the clock. The left and right sides of the clock are decorated with hollowed-out copper gilded flower plates with auspicious patterns of “Five Blessings Holding Longevity” carved on them, with flowing clouds between them. On the platform of the bell top stands a square pavilion with four columns. Under the pavilion, a copper bell is buckled upside down, and a wooden hammer is attached to the bell. The wooden hammer is connected to the clock rang internal clock system.
