The work uses techniques such as flat tapestry, overlapping tapestry, and long and short tapestry to create a running script poem and ballad written by the Emperor Qianlong in ink tapestry
This is the poem “Xiaoyun Poetry” and “Cloth Ballad” written by Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty in the 41st year of the Qianlong reign (1776) when he visited Jining (now Jining City, Shandong Province) and received a memorial from Henan Governor Xu Ji (? -1811) in the Panchi Palace
“Xiaoyun Poem”:
Xiaoyun darkens the distant sky, and the common people compose a sweet rain
Let’s walk lightly, and let disappointment comfort us
Ear growers grow long wheat, and seedling growers spread millet
When I wait for the Kadze to grow, why should my people suffer
In the midst of saints, remember the words of the saints
Showy and afraid of reality, learning to be in harmony with agriculture
Xiaoyun wrote a poem in the late spring and under the moon in Bingshen (1776), “The Ballad of Pieces of Silk”:
A small piece of silk, use a knife and ruler for discretion
Sewing and ironing are the first steps to make a garment, with a hint of traction and a thousand threads to follow
The ancient Chinese characters have profound meanings, and their hearts are like the sound of silk from their thoughts
As Ziyu’s training officer said, “Great changes have never been made before.”
The human heart is only in danger, and the heart is small. Let’s try a thread and a thousand threads
Silk Ballad: In the late spring, the calligraphy of Huanyu’s brush is combined and opened, with strong strokes and smooth transitions in thickness. Among them, long and short strokes are used to express the “flying white” effect, such as the words “twilight” and “lai”. The works are printed with “Qianlong Chen Han” and “Nurturing the Spirit” by Zhu Ke; Sealed with the “Three Compilations of the Treasure Collection”, “Hidden in the Treasure Collection of Shiqu”, and “Treasure of the Emperor Qianlong” seals. The tapestry of this work is exquisite and the copying effect is lifelike, fully reflecting the writing style of Emperor Qianlong
The plywood of the poetry album is made of red sandalwood, and the white jade official script “Pan Chi Jining Palace Volume 10” is carved on it.
