Qianlong Yellow Ground Enamel Colored Western Figure Painting Shou’er Gourd Bottle, Qing Dynasty Qianlong, height 10 cm, caliber 0.6 cm, foot diameter 2.8 × 2.1 cm
The bottle is in the shape of a gourd, with rectangular feet and ribbon shaped ears on both sides of the bottle. The whole body is painted with yellow glaze, and the lotus pattern is fully painted with enamel color. The two sides of the bottle are decorated with open lights on both sides, the upper oval open light is painted with a carmine colored landscape pavilion, and the lower begonia shaped open light is painted with a Western mother and child. The foot is painted with white glaze inside, and the outsole is painted with blue material and printed with four characters and double lines of “Made in Qianlong” in regular script
This bottle’s pattern is delicately depicted, especially the gorgeous clothes of Western women in the open light. It has a three-dimensional effect due to the use of the light and dark perspective techniques of Western paintings.
