The flint sac is rectangular in shape, with a mother and son mouth, a cap, a body, and a bottom foot side with perforations. It is worn with yellow rope, decorated with rice beads and coral beads. Turquoise green glaze is applied inside the vessel. The periphery of the outer wall is adorned with patterns of golden grass, flowers, and tangled branches. There are rectangular openings on the front and back sides of the abdomen, with a pink colored painting of Western characters inside the opening. The bottom is painted with turquoise green glaze, and the center is decorated with a six character horizontal pattern of a red colored seal script “made in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.”
A flint bag is an instrument for holding a fire sickle and is worn on the body. The appearance of this utensil is similar to that of a metal product. It is modeled after a gold and silver utensil. It is ingeniously conceived, small and exquisite, and beautifully crafted. It is both a practical utensil and an exquisite artwork for viewing.
