Gold Plated and Flower Carved Jue

[Gilded Carved Flower Jue]

Gilded Carved Flower Jue, in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, was 10.7 centimeters high and 9.1 centimeters wide at most
Round body, wide flow, wide tail, with double columns and three legs on the mouth. Full body gilding. The abdomen is carved with plum blossom yang patterns on both sides, and the flow and tail are both engraved with flower branch patterns in the shade
This bronze baron is modeled after a bronze baron from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, but there are some changes. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the Jue was relatively large in shape, with a trough shaped long stream, a pointed tail, and an umbrella shaped column on its mouth. However, the Jue was lightweight and had a Yuanbao shaped mouth. In addition, the process of gilding appeared in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, so it is impossible to see gilding decoration among bronze nobles in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Plum blossom patterns are also common decorative patterns in the Qing Dynasty, and are not found in Shang and Zhou bronzes.
