The basin is in a cylindrical shape, painted with red paint, and decorated with gold scroll grass patterns around the mouth and bottom edges. The basin is shallowly carved with ten thousand characters of brocade and eight immortal figures, and painted with gold paint. Plant jasper evergreen in the basin, with broad and thick leaves, straight as a sword, and lush green. The leaves are wrapped around a green silk stem, and there are three clusters of evergreen seeds made of dyed bone and red coral beads on the stem. The beads are red and colorful
This bonsai is planted with evergreen trees in a tube, implying the meaning of “unifying the eternal”. This work is a palace display for the Empress and Empress of the Qing Dynasty on their birthday.
