The Yangti Secret Buddha, also known as “Secret Vajra” and “Gather Secret Vajra”, is one of the five great Buddhists of Tibetan Buddhism. In the picture, the figure has two blue bodies, three sides and six arms. The blue, white and red sides respectively express surrender, disaster relief and respect. The main arm embraces the princess with both hands to touch the Vajra Mother, and holds the Vajra pestle and the Vajra bell separately, symbolizing the combination of method and wisdom; Holding the Falun and White Lotus on the right; On the left hand, holding the Mani bead, holding the sword, and sitting on the lotus seat with folded hands
There is a white silk label on the back of the Thangka, which is inscribed in four-body Chinese, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan characters in ink. The Chinese text is: “On the first day of September in the forty-third year of Qianlong’s reign, the emperor ordered the Zhangjiahu Tuke Map to offer the benefit embroidery of the Yangti Secret Buddha……”
This Thangka is full of embroidery without revealing the ground. The color setting of the embroidery thread is combined with the halo setting. It adopts the stitch techniques of flat embroidery, nail thread, flat gold, oblique winding needle, and needle covering, among which the flat gold is the most exquisite in the clothing pattern and veins. The Buddha statue is decorated with red gold satin with the character of gold longevity, and the edge is inlaid with green lotus brocade.
