This telescope is a single-barrel refracting telescope, made of copper plated with gold, and can be pulled 4 sections as required. The outer wall of the tube is finely carved with bird feather patterns and inlaid with round and oval enamel pieces, with spiral patterns, butterfly patterns and other decorations
This mirror was imported during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and paid tribute to the Inner Court by Guangdong officials. Its fine workmanship, precise manufacture, practical and playable, won the favor of the emperor
