Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has eleven sides, and the three sides in front of him show mercy, representing the treasure department; The three sides on the left are angry, representing the Vajra; The three sides on the right also show mercy, representing the Lotus Department; The rear side (placed on the front three sides) is angry, representing the Capricorn; The top side is Amitabha Buddha, which is silent and represents the Buddha Department. Avalokitesvara stood on the lotus platform with her hands folded on her chest and wearing a wreath. In addition to the 8 main arms on the chest, there are 20 arms on the left and 20 arms on the right, and there are thousands of eyes and thousands of hands arranged in a fan shape
There is a white silk label on the back of the portrait, and the inscription is written in four characters of Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan. The Chinese text is: “On the fourth day of December, the 26th year of Qianlong’s reign, the emperor ordered Zhang Jiahu Tuktu to recognize and worship the portrait of Avalokitesvara with a thousand arms…”.
