The Tibetan name of this Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is “Quan Heng Sanjie Avalokitesvara”. Avalokitesvara, with a red body, a crown on his head, a topless body, a diamond rope in his right hand, and a hook in his left hand, sits on the throne of the sun lotus with a cross. The upper bound is the Infinite Light and Dong Biheirujia, and the lower bound is the Red-faced Heartless King
On the back of the portrait, there is a white silk label with a four-body inscription in Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Tibetan characters. The Chinese text is: “On the seventh day of August, the forty-fifth year of Qianlong’s reign, Panchen Erdeni went to Danshuk to worship the benefit portrait of Avalokitesvara. The first on the left”. This hall of Avalokitesvara Thangka is composed of 9 axes and is now fully preserved. Each god in the picture has a Tibetan name under it, and the time and location are marked on the white silk label on the back.
