[Langyao Red Plum Bottle]

Langyao Red Plum Bottle, made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The bottle has a small mouth, a short neck, a full shoulder, an oblique and straight abdomen, an outward tilt near the foot, and a round foot. The inner wall is painted with white glaze, and the outer wall is painted with Lang kiln red glaze. The white carcass is exposed at the mouth and around the foot
Langyao red glaze was named after Lang Tingji, who was the supervisor of Jingdezhen Imperial Ware Factory from the forty-fourth to fifty-first years of Kangxi’s reign. It is fired after the red glaze in the Yongle and Xuande periods of the Ming Dynasty, with strong glass texture
