This album has 16 pages in total. It depicts the portrait of Yin Zhen (Prince Yong) dressed in the clothes of different people, such as a village man, a scholar, and a Taoist. It shows the scenes of washing his feet, watching clouds and mountains, watching flowers and birds, walking along the lake, and sitting idly by the water. Yin Zhen indulged in it and forgot both things and me, which can be called “poetic music”
This painting depicts the scene of Zhenyin in the clothing of a scholar, displaying paper and writing scriptures. The doors and windows and the desk are all painted with boundary, and the work is meticulous and neat; The face of the character is slightly rendered with “boneless technique”, which is vivid and lifelike. There are bookcases in the room, with Komatsu bonsai and decorative precious mirrors on both sides. Huge landscapes are hung on the wall, and orchids outside the door are fragrant, quiet and elegant, which is exactly the setting of the literati study in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. In the third volume of the “Joyful Collection” compiled by Yin Zhen, there is Zhao Mengfu’s poem “Impossible”: “The ancient ink has been freshly polished with a few perfumes, and the pool has been freshly bathed with light.
