[Zhao Zhiqian’s Gubai Lingzhi Picture Axis]

The Gubai Lingzhi Picture Axis, painted by Zhao Zhiqian in the Qing Dynasty, paper version, colored, 140.8 cm vertically and 37.8 cm horizontally
The picture shows a towering cypress tree, with its thick trunk suffering from years and scars. The overlapping shady leaves are lush and full of spring, so the ancient cypress shows its tenacious vitality. The low ganoderma lucidum under the cypress tree is strong and full of vitality, and has the look of “standing out in front of the crowd and showing off, and the crown of miscellaneous flowers when the wall”
This picture uses vigorous calligraphy techniques to draw branches and trunks, and outlines them with charred ink, vividly showing the majesty of ancient trees. The leaves, the grass under the trees and the ganoderma lucidum imitate Yun Shouping’s boneless coloring. The strokes are flexible, full of charm and interest. They are combined with the trunk of the tree, making the painting have multi-level visual space. It is Zhao Zhiqian’s representative work of painting with books
The signature of the payment: “Brother Zhujun, Mr. Zhao Zhiqian is drawing. The seal is” Zhao Zhiqian “
