The title of this picture is “Qing Lai Yan Yi”, with the seal of “Yi Zi Tong Ke”
As a student of Li Yin, Yan Yi and his brother Yan Yue’s boundary painting pavilions are similar to Li Yin in composition, brushwork and color setting. This painting depicts the “Year of the Year” picture of children wishing and saluting to their elders at the beginning of the Spring Festival. Although it is a figure painting, the architecture in the picture is rigorous, accurate in scale, physical and legal. It reflects the achievements of Li Yin and his disciples Xiao Chen and Yan Brothers in the painting of pavilions before Yuan Jiang and Yuan Yao in Yangzhou.
