This painting, painted during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, was made by a Chinese court painter, and is one of the earliest Chinese oil paintings ever seen. In the picture, the author completely uses Western oil painting techniques to depict a typical traditional Chinese wooden architecture, in which not only the obvious focus perspective method is used to enhance the vertical depth of the picture, but also the strong light and dark relationship between the highlight generated by the light irradiation and the projection is used to express the three-dimensional sense of the building. Although the technique is still naive, it is undoubtedly a new attempt, It injects new forms of expression and techniques into traditional Chinese architectural paintings.
