The bronze statue of Vajrayana

[Bronze Statue of Varanghai Mother]

Bronze Statue of Varanghai Mother, Qing Dynasty, 71cm high
This is the largest statue of Vajrayana in the Palace Museum. Haimu’s hair was towering in flames, her teeth were open and her eyes were wide open. With a skull crown on the head, the pig head representing the identity is displayed above the right side of the skull crown. He is naked, with wreaths on his chest. He is wearing a mesh-shaped bone bracelet, arm bracelet and anklet, and hanging a necklace of fresh head. The statue tries to highlight his angry character. The left hand holds the gabala bowl, the left arm bends and clamps the kazhangga, and the right hand holds the axe knife. Haimu has a plump breast and a thin waist. She twists her body and dances in a standing posture. She steps on the human body with her feet on her back. The backlight is like a door and is covered with flame patterns. The base is a high inverted lotus petal seat. The thick lotus petal, regular lines and fine workmanship all show the obvious style characteristics of the court statues in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
