The signature of the paragraph: “The Book of Eight Mountains People. The fifth day of the fifth lunar month.” The seal of the paragraph: “Eight Returns”. Introduction: “Yellow Bamboo Garden”. Collection seal: “Wenxin Approval”, “Jingmen Wang’s Collection”, “Juefei Approval”, etc. This picture records the article “The Illustrations of the Western Garden Collection” written by Mi Fu of the Song Dynasty. See Mi’s “The Collection of Baojin Yingguang”. The article describes the gathering of 16 famous poets, writers, calligraphers and painters, such as Su Shi, Wang Shen, Mi Fu, Huang Tingjian, Qin Guan, Liu Juji, in the Zhongxi Garden of Wang Shen’s Mansion, the son-in-law of the emperor. Li Gonglin, the famous painter at the meeting, painted the grand collection and made it into the “Western Garden Anthology”. Mi Fu recorded the characters’ names, clothing, sitting and lying posture and the surrounding quiet and remote environment in writing for future generations to follow. “Wuchen” is the twenty-seventh year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1688). The Badashan people were 63 years old. We can see that this volume is his handwriting in his later years. The stippling is less folded and more provincial, and the image changes of painting are integrated into calligraphy, so a new idea is created in the method. The idea and method are combined, which is mellow and flexible. This is the unique feature of Badashan people’s calligraphy.
