Eighty percent golden niche with seat, clear, 12.5 cm high, 8.6 cm long and 4.6 cm wide
The shrine is made of 80% gold, the front is inlaid with glass, and the periphery is lined with lotus patterns. The top, bottom and side of the niches are decorated with silk scroll grass patterns. There is a silver door on the back, and the surrounding is also a lotus flower pattern with tangled branches. The inserted door is carved with 31 characters in Chinese, “On the third day of September in the 31st year of Qianlong’s reign (1766), the emperor ordered Ajahushtu to recognize and hold Vajra in the hands of the worshippers”, as well as Manchu and Tibetan inscriptions. There is a gold seat at the lower part of the niche, which is waist tied and carved with lotus petal pattern. A Buddha flower is carved at the bottom of the seat. A small Buddha statue is enshrined in the niche. The head of the Buddha is painted with gold, and the right hand holds a diamond pestle
This niche is of fine quality, small and exquisite. It is a small niche that Tibetan monks and believers carry around to offer Buddha anytime and anywhere in order to show their piety
