Gold Carving Tuan Shou Xi Tea Bowl, clear, 6 cm high, 9.5 cm caliber, 5.1 cm foot diameter
The tea bowl is 80% gold. Round, slightly skimming mouth. The inner wall is plain, the outer wall edge is carved with a circle of echo patterns, and the belly is decorated with a flower brocade, with four characters for group birthday and happiness, and a circle of lotus patterns at the foot. Round bottom foot, with a loop pattern on the foot. On the bottom of the foot, there are 15 characters of the inscription, “In the eleventh year of Tongzhi, the weight of the two liang ping was 724 yuan and two fen”
This tea bowl is made with exquisite craftsmanship, and the carved patterns and fonts are neat and beautiful. It is a treasure in the gold collection of the late Qing Dynasty palace. Such gold articles were not used by the emperor even in the Qing Dynasty. It is made in accordance with the pattern required by the “Great Qing Congress”, and is only used in ceremonies such as the emperor’s wedding and longevity according to the national system
