This statue is the statue of the follower of the Blessed One of Purhua. It is enshrined on the left side of the Blessed One of Purhua in the east side of the Xuandome Palace of the Qing Dynasty. The face is as red as a monkey, the tip of the mouth is like a bird, the chest is bare and the belly is exposed, strong and powerful, the left hand holds the token, the back bears two wings, and the feet are eagle’s claws, standing on the seat of Sumitomo. The name “Thunder Messenger Zhang Tianjun” was cast on the front of the upper edge of Xumizuo. It is said that this god, originally named Zhang Jie, was later named the god of thunder by the Emperor of Heaven, and became one of the twenty-four emperors of the Taoist god of thunder, so it is also called “Zhang Tianjun”.
