The story depicted in this tank is from the section “Giving Treasures to Lu Bu” in “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. Li Su, at the order of Dong Zhuo, took the red rabbit BMW, gold, jewelry, jade belt and other treasures to the Lu Bu army tent under Luoyang City to persuade Lu Bu to surrender. The craftsman skillfully transplanted this story into the decorative painting of the implements. The characters are vivid, and the blue and white color is colorful. It is the best work in the blue and white porcelain of Chongzhen Dynasty
During the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, literature and art flourished, which not only provided rich creative themes for porcelain patterns, but also profoundly affected the artistic expression of porcelain decorative pictures. In addition to the common pictures of baby plays and eight immortals wishing birthday, many figure paintings on folk kiln porcelain are also particularly popular. The contents of works such as The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, The Story of the West Chamber, The Outlaws of the Marsh are everywhere, which is related to the large popularity of the printed opera scripts since the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
