[Statue copper plate]
Statue copper plate, the 16th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1588), is 13.3 cm wide and 20.5 cm high
The bronze plate is centered on the head of the god with a crown, eyes slightly downward, thick eyebrows and thick nose, and whiskers. Wearing armor, the streamer is lifted from the top of the head, twining both arms, pressing both hands on the legs, and the right hand has lost its original possession. Put on your boots and mount on a wheel. The side and bottom of the statue are engraved with inscriptions such as “The Supreme Emperor’s edict, loyal and selfless, direct reporting and selfless, disciple Wang Quanhe’s heart, craftsman Wang Dengxuan’s casting in May of the 16th year of Wanli”. The edge of the copper plate is decorated with three string patterns, and the upper part has two round holes, which can be used for hanging. It can be inferred from the inscription that this immortal should be related to the Taoist god. During the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Taoism prevailed, especially the folk belief. This statue is the true reflection of this belief.
