Blue and white phoenix wearing flower bowl (water purification bowl), Ming Jiajing, height 17.5 cm, caliber 34.3 cm, foot diameter 9 cm
The mouth is closed, the wall is inclined, and the foot is high. Decorated with blue and white flowers, the bowl is painted with phoenix patterns on the rocks. A phoenix bird stands on the rocks, surrounded by four little phoenixes. The outer wall is painted with four phoenix of different shapes flying in the flowers. The glaze is not applied to the bottom near the foot, revealing the red ochre carcass. The 38th year of Jiaqing is 1559
This bowl is decorated with dense patterns, light blue and white, and rough production. It is a folk kiln blue and white ware in Jiajing. According to the inscription, the water purification bowl is the offering device in front of the Buddha
