Round, diffuse and shallow, circle foot. Five pomegranate flowers are carved inside the plate, and eight pomegranate flowers are carved outside the plate. The sole of the foot is plain black paint, which is the rear paint. On the left side of the foot, the “Ming Yongle Year” style can be seen faintly
From the medical code unearthed from the Han Tomb in Mawangdui, we can see that there were pomegranates in China long before the Western Han Dynasty. As a mascot, pomegranate has been a symbol of fertility since the Six Dynasties.
