Bronze gilded seated statue of Baosheng Buddha, Ming Yongle, with a height of 21.2 cm, a width of 13.3 cm and a thickness of 9.5 cm
The Bodhisattva is one of the five Buddhas, which advocate the South and represents equal wisdom. This figure is dressed in bodhisattva costume, wearing a five-leaf treasure crown, with finely carved hair bun, and hanging wheel earrings. His face is plump, his eyes are narrow, and his mouth is smiling. The upper body is bare, the shoulder is covered with silk belt, and the lower skirt pleats are undulating, smooth and free. The right hand is tied with the wish seal, and the left hand is tied with the meditation seal. The tip of the lotus petal on the back of the lotus seat is rolled up, in the shape of three beads, and the upper and lower edges are decorated with bead patterns. The seat surface is engraved with the regular script of “Yongle Year of the Ming Dynasty”.
